The Burj Khalifa (برج خليفة) known as the Burj Dubai before its inauguration, is a megatall skyscraper in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is the tallest structure in the world, standing at 829.8m (2,722ft).
Construction of the Burj Khalifa began in 2004, with the exterior completed 5 years later in 2009.the building was opened in 2010 as part of a new development called Downtown Dubai. The decision to build the building is reportedly based on the government's decision to diversity from an oil-based economy, and for Dubai to gain international recognition. The building was named in honour of the ruler of Abu Dhabi and president of the United Arab Emirates, Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan. Burj Khalifa was designed by Adrian Smith.

Shanghai Tower , 632 m (China)
Shanghai Tower
Designed by Gensler and owned by the Shanghai City Government. Construction work on the tower began in November 2008 and topped out on 3 August 2013. The exterior was completed in summer 2015. Although the buildings was originally scheduled to open to the public in June 2015, as of October 2016, most of the building is still closed. The observation deck was opened on 1 July 2016.

Abraj Al-Bait
The Abraj Al-Bait Towers also called Mecca Royal Hotel Clock Tower is a part of a impressive complex located in Mecca Saudi Arabia. It stands at 1,972ft (601m). In 2012 the Hotel Clock Tower became the second tallest building in the world, overtaking Taipei 101 in Taiwan.
The structure currently has a number of records, the tallest clock tower in the world, worlds largest clock face each are 141 ft x 141 ft (43 m x 43 m) in size and visible from 19 miles (30km). The building complex is the third tallest building and fourth tallest freestanding structure in the world.
The Towers location is close to the largest mosque and Islams most sacred site in Mecca, the towers also have a large prayer room capable of holding over 10,000 people. The tower also contains a five star hotel which can benefit from the millions of pilgrims who annually travel to Mecca to participate in the Hajj.
